Marie Dugas

Marie Eva Pichauffe Dugas, passed onto her eternal reward on March 29, 2017 at 7:05AM. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00PM to 9:00PM and Friday, March 31, 2017 from 9:00AM until service time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00AM at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church with burial to follow services in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. Marie is survived by her son, Larry Joseph Dugas and wife Cynthia; daughters, Theresa D. Scott and husband Milford, Mary Jane Price, and Gloria Ann Bonvillian and husband Eugene; four sisters-in-law; twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren. She is preceded by her loving husband, Addie Joseph Dugas; parents, Joseph and Eva Marie Baudwin Pichauffe; son-in-law, Lynwood Price; brothers, Paul, Louis, Joseph, and Marcelon Pichauffe; sister, Mary Justin, Addienes Dugas and Eva Kramer and great grandson Trent Porche. She was a great cook and everybody asked for her chicken filet’ gumbo. She met no stray animals. She would help anybody who called upon her and never met a stranger. The heart of a child; and soul of an angel,   Marie was the glue of her family and dedicated to her children and family. Queen Marie earned her crown for her dedication to family and friends. She will be forever remember and never forgotten. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dugas Family.
