Evelyn Marie Brunet Pitre

Evelyn Marie Brunet Pitre– Mrs. Kenneth Paul Pitre Evelyn, age 75, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Terrebonne General Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Houma, Louisiana. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home on Sunday, February 12, 2017, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma on Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Church’s Cemetery. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Paul Pitre; children, Jennifer and husband Damon Daigle and their children, Blair, Jordan, Kathryn, Brock, Lauren, Beau; and great-granddaughter, Violet; Juliette and husband Jason Gautreaux and their children, Emma, Jason, and Mitch; Jacob and wife Corina Pitre and children, Jacob, Jude, Analysse, Pablo, Elleanna, and Evelyn. Evelyn is also survived by her brothers, James Bernard Brunet and Michael Anthony Brunet, Sr. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Peter Joseph Brunet, Sr., and Marie “Moo” Brunet; brother, Peter Joseph Brunet, Jr. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and volunteer. Her life exemplified Christian living.
