Dores Detiveaux

Dores M. Detiveaux, 90, a native of Houma, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on February 3, 2017 at 9:08 pm. Visitation will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.  Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis No. II Cemetery, Houma, Louisiana. Dores is survived by her son, Kim and wife Laura Detiveaux of Santa Rosa, CA, daughter Susan Rome of Baton Rouge, LA and three grandchildren, Becky and husband Sibu Hlatshwayo, Jack Detiveaux and Emily Detiveaux. Dores is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Jeffery John Detiveaux; and  Parents, Felix and Gracy Caro Maronge. Mom would always say… “I’m holding on and going with the flow.” Well, the flow finally took her where she’s always wanted to go…Home. Now if she were to say anything I think it would be…”…if you could see me now! I’m walking on the streets of gold. If you could see me now. I am well and I am whole. If you could see me now….” We would love for you to join us in celebrating a life well lived. If possible wear purple.   In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc, is honored to serve the Detiveaux family.
