Edelia Boudreaux

Edelia Price Boudreaux Edelia 94, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She now resides in Heaven with her Lord and Savior and her husband of sixty one years, Walton Boudreaux, Sr. Edelia is a native of Little Caillou and a resident of Houma. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery. Edelia is survived by her sons, Wayne Boudreaux and companion Debbie Turner Voisin, Walton Boudreaux, Jr. and wife Genevieve Belanger; daughters, June Marie Boudreaux Foret , Vickie Ann Boudreaux and companion Kirk Menard; grandchildren, Kerry, Keith, Kirk, Karl and Korey Foret, Angela, Wayne, Jr., Jeffery, Ashley, Walton III, and William Boudreaux, Thomas, Jason, and Erik Fick, Chase and Carly McDonald; thirty three  great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; brothers, and Claude Price, Ernest Price, Sr. Edelia is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Edelia is preceded in death by her husband, Walton Boudreaux, Sr.; parents, Ernest and Adele LeCompte Price; brothers, Allen and Clarence Price; sister, Thelma Price Eschete Verret; daughter-in-law, Judy McKey Boudreaux. Edelia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She loved to cook and always enjoyed family gatherings, she was also a prayer warrior and a member of the Ladies Altar Society for many years. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed quilting and tending to her flower beds. She was a member of the Krewe of Flames Carnival Club, enjoyed reading, sewing and ceramics. Edelia competed in the Senior Citizens Olympics and won many medals, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. On her past time she and her husband loved to fish and travel. The family would like to thank her sitters, Virginia Achee, Carly McDonald, Angela Boudreaux, Erica Boudreaux, Lilcretia Bergeron and St. Joseph Hospice. Memorial Contributions can be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Boudreaux Family.
