Nell Marie Authement Page, 90, passed away peacefully January 21, 2017 at 5:42AM surrounded by her family. She was a native of Boudreaux Canal and a resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 9:00AM until service time at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with burial to follow services in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, Louisiana. Nell is survived by her sons, Joseph “Joey” Page and wife, Melissa, Robert P. Page and wife, Robin, and John D. Page and wife, Nathalie; daughter, Charlene P. Waldrep and husband, Bill; brothers, Ray Authement and wife, Barbara, Donald Authement and wife, Suzanne and Ronnie Authement and wife, Jane; sisters, Norma Dill, and Rosalie “Chee” Tipton and husband, John; Brother-in-law Jean Page and wife Liz, numerous nieces and nephews, 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles Aaron Page, Sr.; son, Charles A. Page, Jr.; Parents, Elios Laurence and Elphia Marie Duplantis Authement; mother-in-law Emily Page, father-in-law Joe Page, brother-in-law, Gerald Dill; Sister-in-law, Elizabeth Prater and husband Richard. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Nell was an active member of many organizations within Terrebonne Parish. Throughout her life she was awarded the Bishops Medal for Houma-Thibodaux Diocese, named LA Grande Dame de la Terrebonne 1985-86, was named the 2014 Louisiana Volunteers for Family and Community for Terrebonne Parish. She served on the Terrebonne General Medical Center Auxiliary, Houma Woman’s Club, Veterans of Foreign War Axillary, Terrebonne Homemakers Council, Town and Country, Homemakers Club Charter Member, Terrebonne Historical Society, Terrebonne Parish Garden Club, Terrebonne Volunteer for Family and Community, Lioness Club, St. Bernadette Bereavement Ministry, Eucharistic Minister, St. Bernadette Environment Committee, Ellendale Rosary Group, St. Bernadette Receptions Committee, Bayou Cane Volunteer Fire Department Founding Member, Terrebonne Garden Club. Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, Broadmoor PTA Parent Club and Just Say No. She was also a licensed floral designer and Master Gardener. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. She loved them all dearly. The family would like to thank Internal Medicine, Dr. Ray Cinnater, Dr. Jules Dupont, Terrebonne General Hospital and their Staff, AMG Facility, The Oaks of Houma, Journey Hospice, and her special care giver, her angel; Ediana Verrett, and the many family and friends who kept Nell and family in their prayers. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to St. Bernadette Building Fund, Haiti Mission Inc., American Cancer Society, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Page Family.
