Bernard Cradeur

March 20, 1926 — January 3, 2017

Bernard Cradeur, a native of  Crowley, Louisiana and a resident of Houma, Louisiana, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 1:38 a.m. He was also affectionately known as “Pop”. Visitation will be held at St. Gregory Catholic Church, Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 10:00AM until Service time.  Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00PM with interment at St. Francis No. 2 He is survived by his children, son, Glenn Cradeur and wife Mary of Houma, La,; daughters: Sandra Boudloche and husband Francis (Beatle), Mona Kimble and husband Jimmy and Stacy Cradeur all of Houma, La; Grandchildren, Gina LeBlanc (David), Cammie Lee (Steve), Christy Murphy (Ben), Eddie Kimble (Renee’), Chad Kimble (Tracy), Brad Cradeur; Great-granchildren, Mitchell Callahan, Brooke Callahan (Luke), Cade Callahan, Garrett Lee, Cassie Lee, Adeline Murphy, Benjamin Murphy, Ross Kimble, Alex Kimble and Tayler Kimble and one great-great grandchild, Eli Burbank. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dixie Suire Cradeur, parents, Vincent Cradeur, Sr., and Andrea Comeaux Cradeur, infant daughter, Janet Louise Cradeur, brothers, Nelson, Allison, Houston, Ellis, Clifford, Maxie, Vincent, Jr., and Avery Cradeur; sisters, Louise Morvant, Elvie Hernandez, Annie Cradeur, and Annie Mae Hebert. Mr. Cradeur was a Supervisor for South Central Bell for 40 years.  He was a member of the American Legion, Pioneers of  South Central Bell who loved gardening, fishing, duck hunting, and huge New Orleans Saints fans.  He was a U.S. Veteran serving in the Army during World War II  and a parishioner of St. Gregory. A heartfelt and special thanks to his caregivers, Clara Gorley, Sherri Parr, Danielle Hartman, Alisha Brown, Grace Nells, CIS and the Medical Team. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc, is honored to serve the Cradeur family.
