Verna Theresa Robicheaux Foolkes, 81, a native of Franklin, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Vistiation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Services will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. with burial in St. Francis No. 1 Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Harper and husband Thomas of Salado, Texas; Jody Blanchard and husband Carey of Lewisville, Texas; brothers, Eusebe Robicheaux of Stephensville, LA and Ray Robicheaux of Franklin, LA; grandchildren, Chelsea Blanchard, Wesley Blanchard, Shem Hicks, Jason Hicks, Bryon Hicks, Thomas Harper, Jr., Tracie Harper and Heather Harper. She is preceded in death by, her husband, Johnny E. Foolkes, parents, Eusebe Robicheaux and Mae Miguez Robicheaux; son, Gary Hicks, and sisters, Ella Mae Polito, Irene Slataper and Doris Vaccarella. She was a homemaker. She was Catholic.
