Elda Hebert

Elda Griffin Hebert, 83, a native of Lockport, La. And a resident of Houma, La.died on Saturday, December 24, 2016.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 9:00am until service time at 11:00AM. at  St. Bernadette Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church at 11:00AM with burial in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Larose,  La. She is survived by her sons; Steven M. Hebert and wife Vici of Des Allemands, La., Lawrence J. Hebert  and wife Lisa of Spring, Tx. And Douglas J. and wife Dannette of Gray, La;, 4 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Gramdchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Harris Jean Hebert; Parents, Ernest, Jr., and Elda Marroy Griffin; daughter, Hazel Hebert, brothers, Howard, Wallace, Peter and Ernest Griffin, Jr.; and sister, Eunice Robichaux.  She was an Auditor/Bookkeeper for Sears and Roebuck. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic daughters, a Volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy. She baked for the Bunkhouse and volunterred at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She loved to cook and dance.  In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy of Houma and Catholic Daughters of America.  Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc, is honored to serve the Hebert family.
