Eddie Paul "Tip"Babin, Jr, 74, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 12:30 PM Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 8:00 AM until service time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his wife, Marion Grow Babin; He is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Paul Babin, Sr and Vernice Pitre Babin; and brother, Rudolph Babin. He retired from Halliburton after 30 years of service. He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. He was a Past Grand Knight of St. Gregory Knights of Columbus Council 6170. Past Faithful Navigator of Father Vandebilt Assembly 2322. He was the Diocese Knight of Columbus Chairman for Veterans Affairs. Member of St. Gregory Hospitality Usher Ministry. Volunteer at Houma's Veterans Outpatient Clinic. Retired after 30 years from Halliburton.
