He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Crochet and Eula Dupre Crochet; brother, Gerald Crochet and sister, Gail Crochet. He was a heavy equipment operator for IUOE. He was Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, LA.
