Theresa Therese' Hebert

Theresa (Therese’) Julie Faucheaux Hebert, 90, entered the presence of God peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 5:47AM surrounded by her loving family at her home.” I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” She was born on July 1, 1926 at Bayou Black in the house that is now home to the Waterproof Plantation Bed & Breakfast. She lived on Southdown Plantation from the time that she worked at the Southdown Store to the time of the sugar mill closing in the mid seventies. She then went to work for Sante Fe/Plus until she retired. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church begninning at 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial Will follow in Bayou Black Cemetery. Theresa was survived by her children; Linda Ann Hebert, Barry Joseph Hebert, Pamela Ann Hebert Fahey and husband Tracy, Janis Mary Hebert and Gary Michael Hebert; grandchildren, Kelly Lynn Dagenhardt Viar, Kristopher Lloyd Dagenhardt, Brandon Christopher Fahey and Ryan Nicholas Fahey; sisters, Doris Marie Faucheaux Rodrigue and husband Emmett and Antoinette Marie Faucheaux Pitre; sister-in-laws, Florence Bono Faucheaux, Anna Marie Savoie Faucheaux, Margaret Landry Hebert and brother-in-law, Alton “Red” Hebert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynold Raymond Hebert; son, Neal Anthony Hebert; parents John Ezra, Sr. and Ophelia Marie “Tibby” Giroir Faucheaux; brothers, John Ezra Faucheax, Jr. (T-John), Louis Joseph Faucheaux, Lawrence Anthony Faucheaux (Bay), Charles Amos Faucheaux, Anatole Augustine Faucheaux (T-Nat), and Leo Joseph Faucheaux; brother-in-law, Gerald Joseph Pitre, sister-in-laws, Geneveive Colwart Faucheaux, Alice Freeman Faucheaux and Linda Guzman. The family would like to thank dear friends, Sister Miriam Mire, Connie Belanger and Dale Lirette for their help and care they gave mom over the past few years as her health declined. Theresa enjoyed cooking, gardening, embroidering, crocheting, going for a ride and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
