Roy Allen Fontenette, 70, a native and resident of New Orleans, Louisiana died Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Beloved only child of Roy Joseph and Edna Fusette Fontenette and devoted companion of the late Constance Reynolds Green. Roy was a connesior of the arts and humanities of which were art, opera and local and international cultures. He served as a distinguished judge for Louisiana Kids, Inc., talent events and truly loved the kids performances. He had a love for antiques, especially his Victrola collection and antique and vintage records, along with being a supporter of Unity of Greater New Orleans and Homeless People of New Orleans. He was an avid Carribbean Cruiser who enjoyed each and everyone one with his friends and the people he met over the years. He never met a sranger. He was truly an example of what the church asks of each and every Christian. He will be missed by many. A memorial service to honor Roy’s life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego, LA. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
