Stella Dupre Duplantis, 90, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana died on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., and Monday, November 28, 2016 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at the church at 11:00 AM with burial in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by her, sons, Ephie Duplantis, Jr., and wife Mary of Houma, LA, Ronald Duplantis and wife Judy of Huntington Beach, CA; Daughters, Emelie and husband Steve Waguespack of Thibodaux, LA and Susan Suacier and husband James of Raceland; grandchildren, Sheila, Donna and Eric Duplantis, Jennifer Schexnaydre and husband Denis, Brooke Waguespack and companion Nick Dufrene, James Saucier, Jr., and wife Michelle and Jessica Saucier; step-grandchildren, Joshua, Jonielle Waguespack and Johanna Waguespack Stiltner; greatt-grandchildren, Katherine Porche and husband Jason, Elizabeth Reiley, Craig and Cody Schexnaydre, and Lucas and Avery Saucier; and step-great-grandchildren; Asia, Sully, Steven and Bryson Waguespack, Jaxon Wiltz, Mi’kel Stewart and Josiah Stiltner. She is preceded in death by her, husband of 19 years, Ephie Duplantis, Sr. of which he preceded her in death in 1965; parents, Lovancie and Emilie Labit Dupre; brothers: Alton and wife Lily, Armond and wife Cecile and Walton and wife Mable Dupre; and sisters; Mabel and husband Bill Bergeron, Odessa and husband Wiley Babin and Gertrude and husband Gerard Walling. She was a retired Senior Office Administrator for First National Life/Commonwealth Life Insurance companies for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Bernadette’s Ladies Altar Society. Stella enjoyed cooking, playing 500 rummy with the golden girls, and spending time with family and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Heritage Manor and Haydel Hospice for their love and support during her last days.
