Emily Price

Emily Thrasher Price, 77, died Monday, November 7, 2016 at 4:40 AM.  She was a native of Burnside and a resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 10:00AM until Service time at Maria Immaculata Catholic Church with a service at 12:00PM.  Burial will be held in St. Francis # 2 Catholic Cemetery, Houma, LA.                             She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Kenneth Price; step-sons, Kenneth Price II, and Toby Price and wife, Leslie; step-daughter, Angelle Blanchard and husband, Dale; sister, Charlye Rougeau and husband, Mervin; brother, Carl Thrasher; Step-grandchildren, Allison Price, Deon Smith, Donoven Smith, Kamdyn Price and Kate Price; nieces Cindy R. Guidry and Kristy R. Hill. She was preceded death by her parents, Charles D. Thrasher and Irma Porrier Thrasher; step-grandson, Kenneth Price, III.             She was a graduate of St. James High School. She was employed by Houma OB-GYN Clinic for 40 years. She was also a member of the Krewe of Hyacinthians for over 35 years, serving as a board member, president and vice president numerous times. She was Queen Hyacinth XXXII in 1983. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time with the grandchildren, family and friends.
