Glen Melancon

Glen Basil Melancon Sr., 74, passed away at 3:00PM on October 27, 2016.  He was a native of Gramercy, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 8:00PM with a Memorial Service to celebrate his life being held at 6:30PM. Glen is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Rose Ann Weber Melancon; his children, Yvonne Denise Melancon, Michael Glen Melancon and wife Desiree; Glen Basil Melancon Jr. and wife Michele,  Sherry Lynn Liner and late husband Arnez Gene Liner; brother, Kerry Melancon and wife Rose; sister Odile Wilson and husband Melvin; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Liner, Megan Elizabeth Liner, and Ricky Melancon; and great grandchildren, Infant Laken Arnez Liner, Gavin Melancon, and Sidney Melancon.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents, Elphege and Lea Melancon; brothers, James “Jimmy” Melancon and wife Claira, Keith Melancon; and sister Aurelia and husband A.J. Delaneuville Sr. Glen was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Glen enjoyed the outdoors.  He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be forever missed; but never forgotten.
