Irvan Champagne

Irvan Joseph Champagne, 88, a native of Theriot, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Thursday, July 23, 2009. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Monday, July 27, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church with burial in St. Eloi Cemetery. Survived by: 2 Sons Gregory Champagne of Houma, Patrick Champagne and wife Ann of Houma, 6 Daughters, Karen C. Davis of Houma, Joan Bush and husband Charles of Houma, Myra Martin and husband Michael of Raleigh, NC, Christine Grems and husband Thomas of Bayou Blue, Rosaalie LeJeuene of Lafayette, and Mary Lea Reynolds and husband Randall of Houma; two brothers, David Champagne of Houma and Hurtis Champagne of Sarasota, FL.; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosalie Marie Champagne; parents, Jean and Eleanor Champagne; brother, Winston Champagne; one son, Ronald Champagne and one grand-daughter Kate Champagne. He was Catholic and a parishioner of ST. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church.
