Junius Pitre

Junius Joseph Pitre, 82, a native and resident of Houma, LA, died on Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 5 PM till 9 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and on Friday, July 24, 2009 from 8 AM till Service Time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 10 AM at the funeral home with burial in St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Bridget Mayeaux Pitre; sons, Jimmy and wife Billie Pitre of Cottonport, LA, and Perry and wife Sonoma Pitre of Raceland LA.; sisters Betty LaBlanc of Bordelonville, LA Ruby Foret and Mona Bourgeois of Houma LA; and grandchildren, Jimmy J. Pitre and wife Shannon, Brian Pitre and wife Tiffiny, Matthew Pitre, and Jacob Pitre. He is preceded in death by his parents Evans Pitre Sr. and Marie "May" Marcel Pitre; his brother, Evans Gene Pitre; and his sister, Wilma Pitre. He was a Supervisor for Terrebonne Parish Police Jury.
