Lu was a remarkable woman who lived a life full of blessings that were confirmed daily by her Faith in God. Her family and friends meant the world to her. She was a devoted wife and mother, always striving to make everything special and personal for her family. She loved fishing and sometimes could actually be seen at the edge of the road with her fishing pole. She was the master of her kitchen and could cook a meal fit for a king. She always looked forward to all of her social engagements which included Mardi Gras, her regular Pokeno groups, cookouts and casino trips to play her famous “Sizzling Sevens”.   She attacked life with happiness, courage, grace and a style all her own. She gave us all a living example of the true meaning of fearlessness. Among the many causes that were near and dear to her heart, Lu loved St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Matthew Katz and Dr. Rachna Schroff with M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Dr.Janet Burroff with East Jefferson Medical Center, Patricia Voss and Laura Champagne with Haydel Memorial Hospice. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bonvillain Family.
