Anthony Dale Lirette, 87, born June 24, 1929, a resident of Bayou Black, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 9 AM until service time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Houma, LA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
The youngest of 11 children, he is survived by his sister, Shirley Thibodeaux of Houma; brothers, Charles Elliot Lirette of Moon, VA, and Murray Lirette of Slidell; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alexander Dale Lirette; parents, Alexander and Edith Prejean Lirette; brothers, Alexander, Conrad, Reginald and Raymond Lirette; sisters, Edith Lirette, Marion Russell and Elizabeth Dawson.
Anthony Dale was a man devoted to his family and friends. After graduating from Terrebonne High School, he attended Nicholls State College. He then enlisted in the US Air Force and served in the Korean War. He was employed by and retired from Texaco after 32 years of service. He was born, raised and lived his life on Bayou Black. Living his life on the bayou, he had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church. In lieu of flower, memorial donations can be made to your favorite charity.
