Betty Jo Lirette

Betty Jo Lirette, age 87, native of McComb, Mississippi and resident of Houma, Louisiana. Passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 4:55 a.m. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the Chapel Dauphine at Chauvin Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the service time. Religious service will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Mike and wife Liz of Victoria, BC, Ronnie Duke of Bourg, and Gary Lirette of Waynesboro, MS.; daughters, Susan and husband Warren Massia of Natchitoches, LA and Jackie Lirette of Houma, LA; grandchildren, Mark Massia, Alexis Vyas, Ronnie Duke, Jr., Jamie Terrell and Daniel Lirette; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur “Bill” Lirette; mother, Pearlie Boudreaux and step-father, Joe Boudreaux; son, Timothy Lirette; brothers, Donald and Jack Greer and sister, Faye Reeves; grandson, Geoffrey Lirette. Betty Jo was a home maker, a loving mother and grandmother. A special thanks to Haydel Hospice care givers, Sandy, Lorena, Katie, Paulette. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association preferred Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lirette family.
