Roland Joseph Donaldson Jr., 83, a native of Brusly and resident of Houma, died Saturday, July 11, 2009.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Rhodes Donaldson of Houma; three daughters, Donna Michel, Barbara Gaidry and Charlene Donaldson; one son, Roland Donaldson III; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Dusenberry and Audrey Guidry; and two brothers, Carol and Larry Sr. Donaldson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland J. Sr. and Laura Hernandez Donaldson; one daughter, Laura Duplantis; one brother, Lloyd Donaldson; and two sisters, Margaret Crochet and Rita Mae Picard.
He was a truck driver for McDermott, a Navy seaman first class during World War II and an usher for St. Gregory Barbarigo Church.
