Charles Farrell Guidry, 84, a native of Gibson, Louisiana and a resident of Houma, Louisiana, died on October 1, 2016 at 2:10 a.m.
Visitation will be held at Chapel Dauphine at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., on Monday, October 3, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church in Chacahoula, LA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the church with burial in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Gibson, LA.
He is survived by his companion of 18 years, Yvonne Sanders, Sons: Stephens and wife Kathryn, Kent and companion Catherine, Daughters: Melinda Fabre and husband Jimmy, Deena Sanders, Brother: Harvey Sanders, Jr. and wife Sylvia, Grandchildren: 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Barras Guidry; parents, John and Linda Giroir Guidry and Brother, John Lynburg Guidry and wife Iona.
He was a self-employed Proprietor of C & R Auto Service for over 30 years. He was a board member of Terrebonne Parish Waterworks and a member of multiple hunting clubs. He loved fishing.
He was as a U.S Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.
