Lyie Dupre Simoneaux, 91, died Monday, September 19, 2016 at 7:39 AM. She was a native of Pointe-Aux-Chene, LA and resident of Montegut, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 9 AM until funeral time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Catholic Mass at 11 AM. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Montegut, LA She is survived by her sons, Wayne G. Simoneaux and wife, Denise Reed, and Dale A. Simoneaux and wife, Desiree; daughter, Susie Simoneaux Parrott and husband, Jerry; brother, Ernest Dupre Jr.; grandchildren, Beth S. Bourge and husband, Mark, Alex Simoneaux and wife, Ashley, Andre Simoneaux, Sarah Simoneaux, Amy Parrott and Lauren Parrott; great-grandchildren, Marybeth Bourge, Evan and Owen Simoneaux. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Noble G. Simoneaux; parents, Ernest and Josephine LeBouef Dupre; brothers, Duffy Dupre and Lynus Dupre; sisters, Elodie D. Price, Necia D. Robicheaux, Genevive D. Hebert and Adele D. Pellegrin. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Ladies Altar Society and Montegut Homemakers Club. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, fishing and most of all playing cards. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Simoneaux family.
