Harold Joseph Darcey, 82, a native and resident of Houma died Friday, June 19, 2009.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 22, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Mass of Chrisitian burial will be at the church with brial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by sons, Terry Joseph Darcey and Raleigh Joseph Darcey and Timmy Joseph Darsey; daughter, Rachel Virgin Darcey Neal; sister, Rosedale Gautreaux;
10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Emily Hebert Darsey, brother, Floyd Darcey, and sister, Sophie Cheramie.
He was the founder of Darcey's Furniture Repair, a member of the Lions's Club and American Legion.
He was a Catholic and a parshioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He was a great husband and father who loved his grandchildren, loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be sadly missed.
