Evelyn Zonell Walton, 78, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 02:19 PM.  She was a native of Mexia, TX and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 10:00AM to servicetime at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:00AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery. She is survived by her, Sons, Gordon Walton and wife Linette, David Walton and wife Teresa; Daughters, Stephanie Haydel and husband Stephen, Pam Krouse and husband Lynn;  Sister, Martha Alice Jefferson;  Grandchildren, Amy Ostheimer, Jennifer Lorenzo, Emily Faber, Ashley Morris, Taylor Krouse, Ross Krouse, Dustin Hodges, Kaysie Hodges.  She is also survived by seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, Spouse, Paul Gordon Walton; Parents, Cornelius Cordre and Polly Marshall Chandler; and Sister, Connie Dugas.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma. Zonell loved to sew and enjoyed making crafts. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also enjoyed working in her garden. The family would like to express great appreciation for all the prayers, support, and love over the past several years; most especially her doctors and caregivers. She will greatly be missed by all.
