Carl Prosperie

Carl Francis Prosperie, 75, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 07:06 PM. He was a native of Montegut and resident of Bourg, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 9 AM until funeral time at St. Ann Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be held in St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Ann Pinell Prosperie; daughters, Vicki Prosperie, and Carla Ann McCue and husband, Rodney; son, Vincent P. Liner and wife, Barbara; sisters, Lois Pierron, Beverly Bouzegard and husband, George, and Elaine Guidry; sister-in-laws, Merline and Janet Prosperie; grandchildren, Travis Liner, Christopher and Caittie McCue, Ericka, Sarah, Emily and Abbey Boquet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Lawrence Sr. and Gladys Lapeyrouse Prosperie; son, Roy J. Whipple; brothers, Randolph and Victor "Larry" Prosperie; sister, Marion Malbrough and husband, Eugene; brother-in-laws, Richard Pierron and Allen Guidry; grandsons, Joshua Prosperie and William Boquet. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. He retired from Texaco after 30 years. He enjoy gardening especially his blueberries and hot peppers.
