Martha Winfield

Martha Largent Winfield, 79, a native of Moss Hill, Texas and resident of Houma, died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from noon to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by two sons, Darrell Brewer and wife, Myrtle, of Houma, and Tim Brewer of Houma; one brother, Floyd Largent of Batson, Texas; two sisters, Lois Klein of Houston and Betty Cherry of Kountz; five grandchildren, Paula Laurent, Tim Brewer, Jimmy Brewer, Scott Brewer and Terry Brewer; 12 grandchildren, Amber Laurent, Rachel Laurent, Nick Laurent, Kinsley Brewer, Alex Brewer, Jace Brewer, Dylan Brewer, Dustin Brewer, Jacob Brewer, Kennedy Brewer, Nathan Brewer and Evan Brewer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Winfield; her parents, Floyd and Virginia Primrose Largent; one brother, Robert Largent; and one sister, Lucille Smith.
