Wilfred "Buddy" Pontiff

Wilfred "Buddy" Joseph Pontiff, 81 a native and resident of Houma, died June 3, 2009 at 6:45 am. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with burial at St. Francis II Cemetery, Houma, Louisiana He is survived by his daughter, Linda Bonvillain and husband Michael of Coteau; sister, Marg Pontiff Price; grandchildren, Jennifer Jones and husband Chris and Theresa Plaisance and husband Donald Plaisance, Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Gavin Jones. He is preceded in death by his wife, Georgie Malbrough Pontiff; son, Gary Pontiff; his parents, Paul Pontiff, Sr., and Emily Klingman Pontiff and brother, Paul Pontiff, Jr. Mr. Pontiff was Catholic and a parishioner of Maria Immaculata Catholic Church. Mr. Pontiff was retired from Texaco. Mr. Pontiff was a Merchant Marine.
