Earl Louis Mayon, 87, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Thursday, May 28, 2009.
Visitation will be on Monday June 01, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Sacred Heart Church in Morgan City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on June 01, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Morgan City with burial at Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Goldie M. Mayon; one daughter, Paulette C. Lipari and husband, Jake; one sister, Mazie Wilson and husband Fred; and two grandchildren, Jacob G. Lipari III and Nicholas G. Lipari.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Lenes Mayon; and one brother, Royal A. Mayon.
He was co-owner of Mayon Brothers Service Station for 30 years and was a U.S. World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus and AARP.
