Earl Louis Mayon

Earl Louis Mayon, 87, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Thursday, May 28, 2009. Visitation will be on Monday June 01, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Sacred Heart Church in Morgan City. Mass of Christian Burial will be on June 01, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Morgan City with burial at Morgan City Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Goldie M. Mayon; one daughter, Paulette C. Lipari and husband, Jake; one sister, Mazie Wilson and husband Fred; and two grandchildren, Jacob G. Lipari III and Nicholas G. Lipari. He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Lenes Mayon; and one brother, Royal A. Mayon. He was co-owner of Mayon Brothers Service Station for 30 years and was a U.S. World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus and AARP. The family would like to thank the administrators and employees of the Suites of Sugar Mill and Hospice of South Louisiana for their care and support.
