Bonnie Duplantis

Bonnie Jane Duplantis was born in Houma, Louisiana on June 8, 1935 and went to be with the Lord on Friday evening May 20, 2016. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Chauvin Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel beginning at 10:00 until the Liturgy of the Word at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Terrebonne Memorial Cemetery. She is survived by her brother S.P. Larussa of Houma, Louisiana, her daughter Donna Weaver Duplantis of Luling, Louisiana and her son Tommy Duplantis of Houston, TX. She left behind 3 grandchildren; Ashley Weaver Triche, Diego Duplantis and Isabella Duplantis, and 2 great grandchildren; Chandler Triche and Kai Triche. She was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Duplantis, father Paul Larussa and mother Hazel Daigle Rathburn. For the last three years of her life, her sitter Catherine Blankenship, helped to provide love and care for Bonnie. Bonnie moved to Texas with her husband shortly after their marriage. There, she raised their two children and enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and friends. Bonnie was passionate about many things in her life, but her family was her pride and joy. She truly was the spirit and support of her family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a Parkinson’s foundation of your choice or devote a mass in Bonnie’s memory at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, Louisiana.Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to serve the Duplantis family.
