Lawrence"Larry" Flak

Lawrence “Larry” Henry Flak, 54, beloved husband, son, brother and friend, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 due to injuries received in a boating accident near Houma, Louisiana. Larry was born in Houston, Texas on April 23, 1955 to Henry A. Flak, of Kent, Washington, and Lillie Carson Meitzen Flak. Larry is survived by his wife, Deana Humphries Flak; his father, Henry; his brother Richard August Flak and sister-in-law Kristi; his godchildren Keith, Nene and Eric Glenn, and Brent and Coral Dworaczyk; former wife Ann Elizabeth White; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, special fishing buddies and his four-legged children, Zachary, Abby, Max and Ruby. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carson. Dr. Jerry Neff will preside over the celebration of Larry's life, which will be held Friday, May 29 at First United Methodist Church-Conroe at 4309 W. Davis (Highway 105), Conroe, Texas 77304. A reception will be held from 11am to 1pm, with the celebration to begin at 1pm. Honorary Pallbearers are: Brent Dworaczyk, Harry Dearing, James Tuppin, Tyler Thorson, Chris Mayo, Roland Beck, Josephine Miller, Dinah Bowman, and in memoriam Rene Gauthier. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: Corpus Christi API, Post Office Box 9235, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78496, for a scholarship fund in Larry's name for a petroleum engineering student at Texas A&M.
