Age 81, and a lifelong resident of Hammond, Pete passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. He was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Hammond 2952. Pete served our country proudly in the U.S. Army and was well known in Hammond as the "Best Tile Man". He was uncle "Pug" to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Toni Varisco Muscarello; brother-in-law, Vincent Varisco and wife Frances; siblings, Angie Gainey, Chickie Gennardo and husband Vincent, Rosemary Cox and husband Jim, Dorothy Nobile and husband John, Frank Muscarello, Jr. and wife Dawn, Pauline Muscarello, Joe Muscarello and wife Pat, Debbie Martinez, Michael Muscarello. Pete is also survived by a special nephew, Vincent Varisco and wife Delores; special nieces, Kim Ortego and husband Randy, Lisa Shelton and husband Taylor, special uncle, Joe "Junior" Lamonte; Godchild, Todd Gennardo, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank, Sr. and Evelyn Lamonte Muscarello; Godchild, Brent Varisco.Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the services at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Robert Merced will officate the services and interment will follow in Rose Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in memory of Pete to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangement and are honored to serve the Muscarello Family.
