Charles Sonier

Charles John Sonier, 80, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at 04:05 AM. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 5 PM until 7 PM at the chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home and Monday, May 2, 2016 from 9 AM until Service time at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 AM with interment in St. Louis Mausoleum. He is survived by his, Sons: Richard & wife Sharon, Ronald (Ronnie) & wife Cynthia (Cindy) and Wayne Sonier; Daughters: Janet Sonier and Karen (Mi Mi) & husband Scott Gros; Brothers: Dewey, Herman Jr., and Donald Sonier; Sisters:Rosie Hutchinson, Eloise Brunet, and Yvonne Malbrough ; 9 Grandchildren and  10 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his,  1st Wife: Alice LeCompte and 2nd wife: Edith (Sue) Jones; Parents: Herman J. Sr., and Rita Dupre Sonier; and Brother: Earl Sonier. Mr. Sonier was a commercial construction supervisor who enjoyed visiting his camp, fishing, gardening and being with family & friends. He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Sonier family.
