It was Jenny’s belief that God leads us to what we are meant to do with our lives. She was dedicated to the clients and mission of TARC and was a faithful employee for 44 years. She was instrumental in the development of the TARC Restaurant and Gift Shop (Country Store) where she was the store manager until her retirement. Prior to retirement she was presented with The ARC of Louisiana Professional of the Year Award for her years of service, commitment and dedication to TARC and our community. She truly loved the work that she did and never considered it a job, but rather a calling from the Lord. Customers of the Country Store and the TARC community will always carry fond memories of “Mrs. Jenny” as she will always carry memories of them in her heart. Preceding her in death were her husband, David J. LeBoeuf, Sr. of Chauvin and her parents, Hayes Jack Fields and Alice Rodrigue Fields of Montegut. Also preceding her in death were 3 siblings: Ida Mae Fields Tabor, Henry “Buddy” Fields and Harvey “Boo” Fields (Sarge). Not all angels reside in heaven. Some walk amongst us. She was blessed with loving caretaker angels during her illness. The family would like to thank B.J. Lajaunie and the staff of Homestead Assisted Living for the care, love, and assistance that was provided during her 4 year residency. During the last and most challenging year of her journey she resided at The Suites of Sugar Mill Point. We are extremely grateful to Shannon Boudreaux, Lacey Boudreaux, and the entire Suites staff for caring for our Mother with love, respect, dignity and compassion, just as if she had been a member of their own families. She loved all of them very much and we know that they loved her. As our Mother would say, “Thank you my sweet darlings for everything.” The prayers and support of the Suites extended family members, sitters and volunteers were heartwarming. Our family was also very blessed with the love, guidance and support of our dear family friend, Gwen Poiencot, throughout our Mother’s journey with Alzheimer’s. We would like to thank her medical team: Dr. Nicole McKee, Dr. Donald Gervais, and Bayou Home Health. Special thanks to Haydel Memorial Hospice for the compassion and support that enabled our Mother to depart this world with dignity and grace.
