Joyce Parfait

Joyce Rita Parfait, 80, died Monday, April 25, 2016 at .12:40 AM. She was a native of Grand Caillou, LA and resident of Houma, LA.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 27,2016 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9:00AM until funeral time Thursday April 28,2016 at Annunziata Catholic Church. Services will be at 11:00 AM with Interment in St. Francis DeSales Cemetery II. She is survived by her, Husband, of 64 years, Varnis Joseph Parfait, son, Faron & wife Lena Verdin Parfait, daughters, Rachael Parfait Pierre, and Dierdra Parfait Scott & husband David Scott, brothers, Howard, Nile, Clyde, Michael and Fabian Dion, sisters, Lois Salinas, Ethel Haynes, Adrial Boals, Caldriat Breaux, Chawdry Billiot, Maryal Mewherter , Fern Gautreaux and Cherrel Parfait, 19 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, parents, Thomas and Annie Solet Dion SONS: Herschel, Darrell and Ferrell Parfait, brothers, Elton and Autry Dion, and grandson, Shannon Scott. She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. Mrs. Parfait loved cooking, sewing and cake decorating. She enjoyed traveling and especially being with family and friends.  Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Parfait family
