Alfred Peter Prestenbach, 71, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 11:25 PM. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 9:00am until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. A Liturgy of the Word will be held at Chauvin Funeal Home, Inc. Thursday, April 2, 2016 at the funeral home at 11:00am with burial to follow in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his, Son: Alfred P. Prestenback, Jr. and wife Shanna,  Daughter: Dia M. Fields, and husband, Jeffrey, Brothers: L.J. Prestenbach, Larry Prestenbach, Perry Prestenbach, and Clyde Prestenbach, Sister: Brenda Prestenbach, Grandchildren: Heather Bahena and husband, Steven, Hunter Prestenback, L'erin Prestenback and Lauren Prestenback, and Great Grandchildren: Lillian and Hadley Bahena. He was preceded in death by his, Spouse: Beulah "Tootie" Smith Prestenbach, and Parents: Emmett Paul Prestenbach and Doris Nelleton Prestenbach.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.   He was an accomplished entrepreneur who was involved in many business ventures. The family request in lue of flowers, donations to be made to a charity of choice. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Prestenbach family.
