Catherine Hedwige Lehman Giles, 90, died Friday, April 8, 2016 at 02:30 PM. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 9:00 AM until funeral time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her sons, Estle Eugene Giles, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Gary John Giles and wife, Debra, Gregory J. Giles and wife, April, Gordon "Jeff" Giles and wife, Paula; sister, Linda Lehman LeClair; grandchildren, Todd Giles, Jessica Giles Chatagnier, Elizabeth Giles Stevens, Ryan Giles, Bridgett Giles, Brittany Giles LeBlanc, Kevin Giles, Jenny Giles Arceneaux, Jessica Martello, Jack Giles and Lauren Giles Nguyen; 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Estle Eugene Giles, Sr.; father, Calvin Lehman; mother, Hedwige Jones Lehman Duplantis; sisters, Phyllis Lehman Wilson and husband, Herbert, Claire Lehman Guidry and husband, Ray, and Louise Lehman Bourgeois and husband, Fritz. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She was a past member of Bayouside Chapter of Houma Sweet Adelines, Liverpool Rummy Club and PoKeno Club. She lived for Tuesday nights when she cooked for family and friends. She was an AVID reader and a Social Media buff. Her favorite past time was spending time with family and friends.
