David Brommeland Gonzalez, 22 year-old beloved son of Sandy Gonzalez and Victor Gonzalez passed away unexpectedly on good Friday, March 25, 2016. He was born June 27, 1993 and lived his entire life in Houma Louisiana. After grade school at Saint Bernadette he attended Vandebilt Catholic High and at his senior year changed to Terrebonne High School where he graduated. He attended Fletcher Community College, Delgado Community College, and UNO. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., and Monday, April 11, 2016 from 9:00AM until 11:30AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 12:00PM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Burial will be held at a later date. He was an accomplished and avid Alpine skier, golfer and pianist, and enjoyed being by the sea. He is survived by two brothers Victor Michael Gonzalez and Stephen Alexander Gonzalez, stepfather Phillip Lottinger, step brother Phillip Lottinger, Jr. (wife Joni Lottinger), and stepsisters Ashley Elstner and Brittney Lottinger, Grandmother Margaret Madere Gonzalez and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Maxine and Bruce Brommeland and Remi Gonzalez. When David walked into the room his smile was a sunbeam, he never met a stranger. He was the most gentle, caring, compassionate and generous person we have ever known, and he will be sadly missed for the rest of our lives.
