William Harry Stevens, 62, died peacefully Tuesday, March 29, 2016. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 9:00 AM until Service time in the Magnolia chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the Word will follow the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his, Daughters, Ashley Lynn Moreno and husband Javier, Gray, LA and Genevieve Louise Montgomery and husband Brad, Gig Harbor, WA; Grandchildren, Nolia, Antonia and Damian Moreno and Haidyn and Harper Montgomery; Brothers, Michael Stevens and wife Sandra, Sr, Joseph Stevens, Sr, Thomas Stevens and wife Lana, Gerald Stevens and wife Lisa, John Stevens and wife Robin and Chris Stevens; Sisters, Jacquelyn Regner and husband Mike, Linda Ward and husband Larry, Norma Gautreaux and husband Bobby and Mary Cradeur and husband Glenn; Brothers in law, E.J. Pitre and Mike DuPre’,and Sisters in law, Gwen Stevens and Pat Colwart Stevens. He was preceded in death by his,Parents, Guy Hartwell Stevens, Sr and Genevieve Draime Stevens; Brothers, Guy Stevens, Jr and James Stevens, Sr; Sisters, Dianne Pitre and Janice DuPre'. Harry was born in New Orleans on October 15, 1953 to Guy and Genevieve Draime Stevens. He enjoyed working with wood and the finished products were beautiful pieces he gave to his family and friends. He worked on the Alaskan Pipeline when he lived in Seattle, Washington. He was a mechanic at Sterling Callegan’s Exxon and Glenn Cradeur’s West Park Texaco. The family wishes to thank the nurses at Chabert Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed for Harry. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the Stevens family.
