Joyce Marie Cantrelle Marcel, 75 a native of New Orleans and a resident of Houma, Louisiana died, May 4, 2009 at 12:13 p.m. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Holy Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by,husband, Lloyd Marcel, Sr. of Houma sons, Lloyd Marcel, Jr., and companion Elissa Verdin of Houma, Bryant Marcel and wife Annette of Thibodaux, and Matthew Marcel of Houma, daughters, Arlene M. Naquin and husband Tommy of Houma,brothers, Gerald Cantrelle of Houma, Carrol Cantrelle of Houma and Stanley Cantrelle of Schriever,sister, Janice Windham of Houma, grandchildren, 13,great-grandchildren,15, step-grandchildren,11 step-great-grandchildren, 11. She is preceded in death by, parents, Abel Cantrelle and Effie Guidroz Cantrelle, daughter, Debra Ann Marcel. She was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She loved Pokeno and going to Casino Boats.
