Roosevelt Neil

Roosevelt “Kie” Joseph Neil, 82, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 04:43 PM. He was a native and resident of Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 9:00 AM until funeral time at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 62 years,Clara Ann Hebert Neil; sons, Ricky J. Neil and wife, Jeannie, and Kevin P. Neil and wife, Ramona; daughters, Vicky L. Neil and husband, Barry, and Sheila A. Martin and husband, Druis; brother, Roy Neil; sister, Dorothy Bergeron; grandchildren, Rick Neil, Darla Neil Callahan, Lacey Neil Griffin, Garrett Neil, Kimi Neil and Kevin J. Neil; 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nollie and Doris Roddy Neil. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.   He loved Saints, LSU and as an outing loved to gamble and EAT. He lived for his family and was a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. May you rest in Peace Smit. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Cinnater, Dr. Dupont and staff for their compassionate, generous and dedicated services. Also thanks to Hospice of South Louisiana and a very special thank you to Claudia Taylor for the comforting care provided to our mom.
