Elmer Joseph Brunet Jr., 67, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 11:35 PM. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 8:00am to 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: Halfway Cemetery. He is survived by his, spouse: Tina Smith Brunet, sons: Mark Brunet and wife Janet, and Richard Brunet and wife Shannon, brothers: Johnny Brunet, Steven Brunet Sr. and wife Maggie, and Derrell Brunet Sr., sisters: Linda Pellegrin, Marlene Verdin and husband Lawrence, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, first wife: Sheila Dupre Brunet, parents: Elmer Joseph Brunet Sr. and Marguerite LeBoeuf Brunet, son: Felton Brunet, and brother: Kenneth Brunet,   Elmer loved to hunt and fish.  He enjoyed working in his garden. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
