Elfrieda Bessie Maurer Billgren, age 91, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016. She was a native of New Rockford, North Dakota and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park. She is survived byher sons, Matthew Frederick Billgren and wife Konnie Bland Billgren of Rangely, CO, Richard Merlin Billgren and wife Karen Lynn Guidry Billgren of Rogers, Arkansas, daughters, Karla Marie and husband Curtis Collom of Houma, LA, Mary Kathleen Bourgeois of Houma, LA, Priscilla Ann Lightfoot of Welsh, LA, Tanya Lynne Chauvin of Houma, LA and Sheila Kay Billgren Wall and husband Fred Brian Wall of Dallas, TX., grandchildren, Terry Collom Foret, Kelly D. Collom, Michael A. Collom, Leslie D. Collom, Nicole Bourgeois Emerson, Michele Bourgeois Dantin, Andrea Bourgeois Rogers, Timothy R. Lightfoot, Kevin T. Lightfoot, Darren P. Lightfoot, Jonathan D. Lightfoot, B. Jameson Chauvin, Joshua R. Chauvin, Carlton J. Billgren, Ericka Billgren Herrera, Katherine J. Billgren, Brooke L. Voisin, Heather E. Voisin, Taylor K. Reynolds, and Dalton L. Reynolds, thirty-three great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Glen Howard Maurer, Vernon Everett Maurer, and sister, Erva Jean Maurer Bartlett. She was preceded in deathby her parents, Frederich Wilhelm Maurer and Bessie Marie Simon Maurer, husband, Karl Johan Herman Billgren, son-in-laws, William Paul Bourgeois, Sidney Reed Lightfoot and Bert Joseph Chauvin, Jr., brothers, William Joseph Maurer, Arnold Alton Maurer, Earl Martin Maurer, Ferdinand Wayne Maurer, sisters, Leona Sylvia Maurer Edwards, Beatrice Anna Maurer Reeves and Helen Lucille Maurer Counard. Mrs. Billgren loved bird watching, working cross word puzzles and watching country western movies. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.     She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
