Ursula "Tillie" Melancon Chatelain died on April 24, 2009 at 12:42 a.m. A native of Labadieville, Louisiana and a resident of Schriever, Louisiana. Visitation will be on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Bridget Catholic Church. A mass of christian burial, will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories, Gray, La. She is survived by Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death by her husand, Calvin A. Chatelain, parents, Clay Melancon and Emily Blanchard Melancon, sisters, Josephine M. Duet, Leonel M. Usie, Marie M. Babin, and Mabel M. Freeman, brothers, Dudley, Abbie, Phillip, Noah and George Melancon. She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Schriever Senior Citizens Center.
