Sandra "Sandi" Canter Scott, 63, a native of Raceland and a resident of Houma, peacefully left this life at 9:25 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2009.
On Tuesday, April 28th at Chauvin Funeral Home family and friends will gather to say their farewells to a beloved, wife, sister and friend.
Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Farewell services will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, Louisiana.
She is survived by her loving husband, William Alfred "Scotty" Scott; two brothers, Dennis M. Canter and wife Laura of Lafayette, Timothy P. Canter and wife Kathy, one sister, Sharon Canter Toups and husband Robert of Houma, her mother in law, Edna M. Scott of Guyton, Georgia; two sisters in law, Lee Bell and husband Bob, Beth Dill and husband Billand one brother in law Jerry Scott and wife Jane; ten nieces, six nephews, eight great nieces, nine great nephews and one great-great niece and nephew and a most loved pet and companion Marie Labeaux.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Fred Canter and Doris Guidroz Canter Dugas, four brothers, Ray Canter, Roy Canter, Charles "Chuck" Canter, and John Canter, her paternal grandparents; John and Viola Duhon Canter and her maternal grandparents, Arthur and Noella Autin Guidroz.
She will be missed by her many friends at the "House of Knowledge".
She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
