Marjorie LeCompte Labit, 91, a native of Montegut, Louisiana and a resident of Houma, Louisiana died on April 19, 2009 @ 8:15 a.m. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 23, 2009 @ St. Gregory Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 @ 11:00 a.m.at St. Gregory Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery. She is survived by: Daughter: Judith Cogswell and husband Jim of Reserve, Louisiana; Bonnie Jones and husband Gary of Houma, Louisiana; and Christine Cockerham and husband Donnie of Houma, Louisiana. Grandchildren: 7 Great-Grandchildren: 10 Great-Great-Grandchildren: 2 Numerous Nieces and Nephews and Loving Friends She is preceded in death by, her parents, John LeCompte and Cora Boudreaux LeCompte; husband, Henry Joseph Labit, sisters, Augusta Verret and Wilda Authement brother, Johnny LeCompte She was a Eucharistic Minister at both Terrebonne General Medical Center and Leonard Chabert Hospital and shut-ins. A member of Legion of Mary at St. Gregory Catholic Church. Member of Krewe of Hyacinthians, Volunteer for Southdown Plantation Museum. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all.
