Ray Lucille Belanger Theriot, 99
a native and resident: Houma, Louisiana, died April 19, 2009 @ 12:15 pm.
She was a decendent of the Belanger family who donated the land where the courthouse now stands. Belanger Street was named after her family. She was very proud of her heritage.
Visitation will be Friday, April 24, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales
Mass of Christian Burial:
will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 @ 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #1.
She is survived by:
Son, Kenneth P. Theriot of Baton Rouge; Daughter, Carolyn T. Granier and husband P.C. of Houma; Bonnie T. Domangue and husband Kenneth "Canoe" of Houma; M. Yvonne Corzo and husband Mario of Opelousas.
Grandchildren:, Paul C. Granier, III and wife Wanda; Allison A. Granier; Kenneth J. Domangue, Jr., and wife Leslie; Kayla D. Landry and husband Eric; Katherine D. Mazarac and husband Keith; Kami D. Babin and husband Brandon, Amy B. McCann and husband Steve; Kristen J. Clement and husband Richard Clement, MD; Kimberly Kay Theriot; Jesse Theriot and Shae Theriot; Robi Corzo and wife Jan; Christopher Corzo and Mary DuBois.

Son: Harold A. "Skippy" Theriot, Jr.
She was a member of the Terrebonne Parish Historical and Cultural Society, Southdown Plantation Museum, Learning and Teaching French, Eucharistic Minister to Shut-Ins from Annunziata Parish, enjoyed reading, playing cards and bingo, cooking for family and friends, embroidering, and gardening.
Ray, was a very devout Catholic and loving mother to her family and friends.
