Suzette Johnston

Suzette Marie Johnston, 56, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 12:42 PM. She was a native of Morgan City, LA and resident of Schriever, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Monday, January 18, 2016 from 9:00am to service time at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Burial: St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her spouse, William M. Johnston III,; mother, Patricia Chaisson Kennedy; son, William Marshall Johnston IV and wife Alicia; daughters, Alicia Ann Johnston, Jessica Lynn Gregoire and husband Dewayne. Suzette is survived by seven brothers and two sisters and their families. She is also survived her four grandchildren, Kayden, Dakota, Ellie, and Averie.  She was preceded in death by her father, Nolan Joseph Chaisson; and brother, Wallace Chaisson. She was a parishioner ofSt. Bridget Catholic Church. She was a member of the Red Cross for many years. She was the founder and president of Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana Chapter #2. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana Chapter #2 at P.O. Box 184, Schriever LA, 70395.
