Alvin Evangelista

Alvin “Tommy” Joseph Evangelista, age 85, died Thursday, December 31, 2015. He was a native of Dulac, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. from Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Anna Verdin Evangelista, daughters, Karen Evangelista, Peggy Evangelista, son, Troy Evangelista, grandchildren, Thomas (Tracy) Solet, Jeremy (Tiana) Solet, Troy Evangelista, Jr., great-grandchildren, Gavin Solet, Cameron Solet, Devin Solet, Olivia Solet and Morgan Solet, sister, Betty Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilda Aucoin and Emile Evangelista, brother, Johnny Evangelista   He was a member of .The Houma Seventh – day Adventist Church. Alvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Journey Hospice and Medical Team for their marvelous care they provided for Alvin during his final days.
