Audrey La Cour Williams, 87, a native of Lake Arthur and a resident of Baton Rouge, concluded a good, long and happy life peacefully, painlessly and prayerfully at 9:50 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2009.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial in St. Francis de Sales cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, James Albert Williams of Baton Rouge; three sons, David Williams and wife, Karen, of Houma, J. Rene Williams and wife, Marsha, of Houma, and Charles T. Williams and wife, Elaine, of Laffayette; one daughter, Celeste Autin and husband, Donel, of Houston; 11 grandchildren, Jane Chauvin, Michelle Everson, Rebecca Williams, Matthew Tanory, John Tanory, Ryan Williams, Jared Williams, Jacob Williams, Blair Williams, Melissa Williams and Mitchell Williams; two step-grandchildren, Christy Duplantis and husband, Eric, and Don Autin and wife, Dana; two great-grandchildren, John and Connor Chauvin; and four step-great-grandchildren, Tyler and Sayde Duplantis and Aaron and Aidan Autin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Bertha Reimers La Cour; two sons, Richard “Dickie” Williams and Dennis Albert Williams; and one sister, Anna C. La Cour.
She was a beautiful wife and mother of five sons and one daughter. She was a retired secretary from Jim’s Equipment, as well as a member of the Catholic Daughters and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church for over 30 years.
